Companion Guide The long run Keys

Keys

One Key opens one thing. Farming produces none.

One Key opens one locked thing, and you pick which. Keys are not a balance that creeps upward, and no amount of daily activity produces one.

One Key opens one thing

All four kinds are width. A Key never makes her stronger, faster, or further along.

Spend a Key onWhat you get
A characterAny character outside the Pro set, added to your household
A set of looksSlot items plus a matching decor bundle
A roomA backdrop plus the decor placed in it
A formA second or third version of a companion, after bond 12

Not yet None of the four are in the app yet. Keys you earn before they arrive are banked for you.

Keys arrive by three routes and no fourth

You buy them, earn them at a milestone, or claim one once from the reward steps. A fourth route never appears.

  • Buying them costs 0.99 for one, and bundles work out cheaper per Key. The prices page has the list.
  • Real milestones make up a short list of things that take months, set out in the table below.
  • One-time rewards spread nine Keys across ten steps on the one-time rewards page, and you claim each step once.

Every milestone here takes months

That is the point of the list.

MilestoneKeysHow often
A habit reaches 66 days1Once per habit
A habit reaches 365 days3Once per habit

Every hundredth challenge day1Repeats
A companion reaches bond 121Once per companion

Grinding produces none

Keys carry no Coin price, and no daily activity produces one. Finish a hundred tasks in a day and you are no closer.

A dollar buys convenience and a milestone buys pride If a Key cost a dollar and could also be ground out over three months, the arithmetic would tell you those three months were worth a dollar. Keeping the two paths apart is what prevents that.

Expect six to twelve a year for free

Three or four habits that stick, goals closing at a normal rate, and half the one-time rewards claimed adds up to six or twelve Keys in a first year without paying a penny.

Twenty things wait to be unlocked, which keeps buying a convenience and never a requirement.

Unlocks are permanent

Anything a Key opens is yours permanently. It rides along in your backups, survives a reinstall, and is never taken back.

One exception: a one-time reward claimed on evidence that later vanishes. Even then nothing gets stripped. A cosmetic locks again, a character you have been playing with stays, and your Key balance carries a small adjustment that the next Key you earn clears. No balance ever shows negative.
